Our products and workshops blend storytelling, science and sustainability to spark curiosity and inspire young minds to see themselves as stewards of the natural world. Our Story
The Tiny Alchemist Co. began in 2021, when our founder—Métis mama Taylor Robitaille—was a stay-at-home mom to two young children, doing her best to keep the magic alive in everyday life. One day, she caught her son mixing up “potions” from her hair and skincare products—his curiosity overflowing and imagination in full bloom. Rather than stop him, Taylor leaned in. She transformed a corner of their kitchen into a Potion Station, stocked with pantry ingredients he could safely explore, stir, and mix. It became a daily ritual—one that sparked joy, independence, and a budding interest in food and nature.
But there was one problem—he couldn’t actually drink the potions.
That moment lit a spark. Children are naturally imaginative and wildly curious, but most toys and activities don’t meet them where they’re at—especially when it comes to safety, nourishment, and sustainability. Taylor dreamed up something better: edible potion-making. A magical, sensory-rich experience rooted in real ingredients, real play, and real connection to the earth.
